Project Abstract: 

The proposed study consists of two parts: Part 1 focuses on the development of a sensor system embedded in pavement capable of continuously monitoring the physical properties of asphalt and/or concrete pavements at an early age as well as long-term. Part 2 includes conducting field trials by taking into consideration sensor location, number of sensors, efficacy of sensors under different environments, and reliabiity of the sensor system.
