FY 19 Blue Ridge Parkway Pavement Preservation Asheville

Pavement preservation treatment will be one of the following methods: ultra-thin lift bonded wearing course, or Stress Absorbing Membrane Inter-layer (SAMI) (chip seal, with conventional 3/16-inch maximum nominal aggregate overlay), of the Blue Ridge Parkway including adjacent pull-offs. Project limits will be as follows: just south of intersection of with State Route 694 (Town Mountain Road) (Milepost (MP) 365.5) to just east of US Route 25 (MP 389.7); from just west of I-26 (MP 393.23) to MP 394.7 (State Route 191 (Brevard Road)). Additional work will include minor asphalt pavement patching, and permanent pavement markings. Because of funding considerations, the project will be split into two schedules (options). Road will be open during the construction.
