This project is funded by the Emergency Relief of Federal Owned roads (ERFO) Program. As a result of December 2015 to January 2016 historic rainfall and flooding, the existing boardwalk, located within the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge, completely washed off its foundation and is a total loss. Reconstruct 876 linear feet of boardwalk. The work includes removal of existing timber boardwalk, construction of new timber boardwalk, pile installation, erosion and sediment control and other miscellaneous work. Access Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge off US Route 11/Interstate 59 from the south.
